the creche

I've been up since 5am knitting, quilting, and decking (not the hallway yet...just a bit of the living room). The lighting is awful but I was going for a "glory of the Lord shining 'round about them" look.

As you can see, it's sunny today but hasn't reached 30 degrees yet so I haven't so much as poked my nose out the door. Guess we'll have eggs tonight because I'm not grocery shopping until early tomorrow morning. Why bother when I have all the ingredients that I need to make Toll House cookies :-)

poinsettia

The poinsettia has been temporarily moved to the kitchen because I am using the dining room table for quilting. Tomorrow it will return to its home while I bake cookies (hence, the smiling snowman in the background).

I like getting up close & personal in my photos (as some say, my photos are frightening because they are so "in your face." I liked this particular poinsettia because it wasn't the traditional ruby red, but a combination of red, green, and pink...maybe they all start off this way?
