three wishes for my children
a final glance at innocence
then a journey
like all good mothers
i made you wear a woolen cap
and warm jacket
which eventually you shed
for the seasons change
and so too stature
may you never outwear
nor disburden
these three wishes for
a heart that loves selflessly
eyes that perceive beauty
and creative hands
go along now

for Sunday Scribblings
I liked the idea of three wishes for your children. And it's nicely written. Thanks.

I'm so irritated because on Sunday, I wrote a comment to this post, and for some reason, it didn't "take." I thought that maybe, if I left and came back later, it would miraculously appear, but it didn't--probably because I closed a window that I shouldn't have or forgot to hit "submit."
Anyway, just wanted to tell you how much your words and picture made me appreciate my own children! You just moved me with your generous wishes, and I am so thankful for your talents!
(My comment on Sunday was much better than this one!)

Very sweet and loving! Maybe we can squeeze 2 and 3 together as one and then you'd have room for the 'chocolate wish' :)

Love this shot. I'm a couple of weeks into a new photography obsession. If you'd ever like to offer a critique of some of my rookie shots, they're on my blog.
