Okay, I know that everyone thinks that the children in their own families are brilliant; but in this case, it's true :-) Meet Seth, my great-nephew prodigy. Much to the dismay of his great-grandmother (my mother), I encouraged him to show me the wad the was bulging in his right cheek. He was very accomodating, as you can see!
Seth loves school. He began reading before Kindergarten and excels in math as well so I figured why not teach him the Fibonnaci sequence. He mastered it immediately and remembered it all throughout the day (that was 2 days ago...he will be tested again today...and I'm the fun Aunt!) We wrote a Fib together and I would share it here but very tiday MaMa threw it away. It's not really her fault as she does not understand The Process of writing epic poetry on what looks like common scrap paper. Perhaps today we will learn Pi (but first I will have to phone Uncle T back home and write an extended version down so that I can teach him beyond the first three digits :-). Aren't eight year old boys just the best fun?!
He's adorable! And already a whiz-kid at Fibonacci and other assorted talents!

Oh my, brings back memories of my fabulous (and I must say, also brillant!) son, when he was 8 (and 9, 10...!) If only I had known then how much fun I was really having, cuz all too soon they're grown up and having fun without you.
