No Easter Basket is complete
unless in it I find a Peep
A chocolate bunny I do savor
But pastel chicks in truth, I favor.
Peeps' beady eyes are innocent,
and little faces, so content.
Their sugary plumpness all a shimmer--
I'd never want them any trimmer.
Pink ones, purple, yellow too
And now in green, like Spring so new--
I'd like to find a way to treat them
But, alas, I love to eat them.
I bought my first batch of Peeps today...held out as long as I could but when I saw the new green ones I just HAD to try them :-) I bought the hand painted eggs in the basket a couple of years ago while I was in Austria over Easter. What do you like to find you YOUR Easter basket?
Aren't the Green ones just the best!!! Got to be chocolate all the time. :)

Susan,
Hmmm, Where to start......
The poem is delightful, all spring and easter and rhyme.
Just right for around this time.
Peeps: A few weeks ago my CRNA group had an informal dinner meeting. We dined on take out Chinese, washed down with red french wine. For desert: PEEPS!
Dans mon panier si vous plaisez ; le chocolat de lait a malté des oeufs et quelque chocolat sombre aussi.

I love your pictures about Austria and Vienna? When have you been there?
I´m an Austrian too, I live in the south of Austria, very close to Graz. But I know Vienna quite well so it´s so funny and interesting for me to see, how foreigners see my home country!
Greetings from sunny Austria, Verena

You probably won't believe this, but I've never tried a Peep! They make my teeth hurt to look at them ;)
However, I go absolutely nuts over jelly beans-can't be stopped until I get sick.
Your basket looks very pretty :)

I never really liked Peeps, but I am a fan of they're pastel colors! I love chocolate of any kind, so I would appreciate finding some nice dark pieces in my basket. Maybe even some Cadbury eggs.
